‘Survey World’ (SW) is a cyber space where all human resources required for conducting/organizing statistical survey, data collection and analysis; and to  hire related services at agreed terms and conditions are available.

Resources available in the Survey World (SW) are Survey Agencies & Institutions (SAI), Survey Specialist & Analytics (SSA), Survey Supervisors & Regional Coordinators (SSRC) and Surveyors & Field Investigators (SFI).

This Survey World has been designed by superannuated/retired senior Indian Statistical Service (ISS) and Indian Economic Service (IES) officers having decades of work experience in statistical survey field. Thus, scope of modifying the categories of resources is limited. However, if required, new categories would be introduced with careful considerations.

Survey Agencies and Institutions (SAI) are the institutions (government and non-government) which are involved in statistical surveys, analytical studies and related fields and require, for their work,  services of Survey Specialist and Data Analysts (SSDA), Survey Supervisors and Regional Coordinators (SSRC), and Surveyors and Field Investigators (SFI). They may also hire the training and human resource enhancement services from other SAIs and Inferential Survey Statistics & Research Foundation (ISS&RF).

Survey Specialist and Data Analysts (SSDA) are individuals having knowledge, skill, and practical experience in designing of sample survey methods, development of survey instruments, organising training programmes and conducting sample surveys. They are expert in data analysis using statistical packages and have enough experiences and expertise of writing Reports. If they are hired by a SAI, they have to provide the agreed services as per the Terms and Conditions of the contact. It is between the respective SAI and SSDA

Survey Supervisor and Regional Coordinator (SSRC) are individuals having knowledge, skill, and practical experience in organising the surveys, arranging the surveyors and field investigators, conducting field training, inspection, and supervision of survey work. They have adequate knowledge to conduct validation checks and to provide error free edited filled-in schedules. If they are hired by a SAI, they have to provide the agreed services as per the Terms and Conditions of the contact. It is between the respective SAI and SSRC.

Surveyors and Field Investigators (SFI) are individuals having knowledge, skill, and practical experience in canvassing computer aided as well, paper survey instruments in the field amongst the individuals, households, industries, and other establishments for data.  They have reasonable knowledge of validation checks and have the capability to provide error free filled-in schedules. If they are hired by a SAI, they have to provide the agreed services as per the Terms and Conditions of the contact. It is between the respective SAI and SFI.

Survey World (SW) and Inferential Survey Statistics & Research Foundation (ISS&RF) have created the platform for exchange of data/information regarding the registered resources. The resources (SAI, SSDA, SSRC and SFI) are free to enter into contacts as per their needs and commercial considerations. SW and ISSRF do not have any role in enforcing the contacts. But ISSRF, if approached by the contracting parties  may verify the feedbacks/credentials of the players/stakeholders/resources and try to take corrective actions within the existing legal frameworks.

Registering process in the SW is quite very simple. First Enter the Survey World (SW) in the internet (http://issrf.org.in/) and then register in the appropriate category through login process. For registration and renewing, the SAI/SSDA/SSRC/SFI have to pay the specific fees. Since ISSRF is a not-for profit organisation and is for a social cause, the fees charged have been kept as low as possible.  Once you decide to register in a particular category, the amount of fee would be revealed to you

A registered SAI in the SW would get the opportunity to know about SSDA/SSRC/SFI through limited information (Name of the resource, Resource type and District/State) without any fee/charge. Once the SAI chooses one or more resources and drop/gather them in to the basket, it has to pay some fee/charge which is to be paid through the payment gateway. After this it would receive the details about the chosen resources (Name, Phone, Email, Qualifications, Experience, etc.). The SAI is free to choose the resource (SSDA/SSRC/SFI) as per their requirements and hire them after entering into commercial contracts.

Survey World (SW) is a voluntary platform. The data/information available on the SAI/SSDA/SSRC/SFI etc. are as provided by the respective individuals/institutions. Since a set of data/information are made available, cross verification and validation are ensured to some extent. However, every body is advised to follow due diligence before hiring the resource
